The school example was the apostle Paul. The picture on the right shows Paul on the Areopagus, which was the highest court in the old Athens.\n<br>\n<ul class=\"a\">\n<li>Paul knew, like no other, what was written, and he was brilliant in defending and explaining the Scriptures.<\/li>\n<li>For people who did not know the Scripture that well he used examples from their every day life to explain who the Creator was \n<a class=\"tooltip read\" title=\"&lt;span&gt;Acts 17: 23&lt;\/span&gt;For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you.\">\n(Acts 17: 23)<\/a>.\n<\/li>\n<li>He used tangible proof in front of critics \n<a class=\"tooltip read\" title=\"&lt;span&gt;1 Corinthians 15: 4- 7&lt;\/span&gt;And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles.\">\n(1 Corinthians 15: 4- 7)<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\nIn our modern day we still need apologists. Many Christians are overwhelmed by the fast amount of tales, religions, and different explanations of the supernatural.\nThe shock is complete when they discover that many people earnestly belief in their own &#8216;grab together what you like&#8217; faith. \nThe Westerner seems not to be bothered by the fact that they mix aspects of contradicting beliefs&#8212;they often tell the Christian that he or she is doing the same.\nIt is the beautiful task of the apologist to show that Christians are not foolish or confused if he or she states that Jesus is the Saviour.\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\n<i><h4>1 Peter 3: 15 (KJV)<\/h4>\nBut sanctify the Lord God in your hearts:\n<br> \nand <u>be ready always to give an answer<\/u> to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:\n<\/i>\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\nThe purpose of this website is to help Christians by giving them some answers. It started with the refutation of a chapter in a biology book of a secondary school in Holland. This book, &#8216;Biologie Voor Jou&#8217; (trans: Biology for You), covers the evolution theory in one big chapter. \nThe whole chapter was build up with old arguments which were mostly refuted years ago. Still the students had to memorise these &#8216;facts&#8217; for their exam. \nThis 19 page long document is written in the Dutch language thus not easy accessible for English speaking people. After this document the website expanded with more aspects of apologetics.\n<br>\nApologeet.nl started to make English content after several requests.
