Why do so many young people leave the Christian faith — and what can you, as a parent, youth leader or church member, do about it? In this video, we’ll discuss the 7 most common reasons why young people lose their faith, based on the Bible.
Following recent (March 2026) attacks in the Netherlands, one thing seems to stand out: everyone is keeping quiet. Why do we not dare to speak honestly about the role of Islam as an ideology? And why are even Christians sometimes more reticent about Islam than about their own faith?
Islam is gaining popularity. In this video, I want to mention a few points that annoy me about this behaviour. Also, I would like to clarify certain teaching within Islamic ideology.
I don’t really fancy the Islamic ideology. But because you are hardly allowed to say that anymore, I want to explain it in this video.
Have you ever wondered whether the Holy Spirit lives in you or not? I know I have! When I became a Christian the whole concept of the Holy Spirit was baffling to me. Well willing Christians tried to explain it to me, and they came with all sorts of terms: Baptism in the Spirit; receiving the Spirit; filled with the Spirit etc.
Why did God place the tree of the knowledge of good and evil in the Garden of Eden in the first place? Wasn’t that a trap? If God knew that Adam and Eve would sin, why did He put that tree there? At first glance, that seems like a valid question — but only if we misunderstand what that tree actually represented.
Striving to become a “better” Christian, fuelled by self-help books and productivity tips, can leave you mentally exhausted. That’s what the so-called self-help movement does! All these books and videos promise spiritual growth, self-confidence and even success – and perhaps some of my videos have even contributed to that line of thinking!
